Little Miss

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whOEfhCF0to

Here's the link for one of my favorite songs right now. Little Miss by Sugarland.

I have to say, it's one of the best songs to really identify with. "Little Miss who you are is so much more than you like to talk about". Pegged. I find so much strength and hope in this song, and figured I'd pass it along.

American Dream?

I got a question. What's your "American Dream"?

There is a debate over whether or not the American dream exists. Now I can argue from both sides.

There is an American dream. It's the idea that in America, anyone has the opportunity to be whatever they aspire to be. I can see that.

On the other hand, there is no American dream. We just THINK we're free. In fact, society guides us to become what it wants us to be.

I can see both points, but really, my question is: What is your American dream?

Quote of the Day

"Everybody dies, but not everybody lives."

I kinda want to hear other peoples perspective on this one.

Quote of the Day

"Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!"
Audrey Hepburn

I don't know how much I believe this. On one hand, human reason says certain things are impossible. Take gravity for example. Human reason says it is impossible for me to jump off a roof and not fall. The other hand says that all humans can operate on is their own perception. If one believes that something is possible, and I mean truly believes in the depths of their heart, then, in their perception, it is possible. Since all that matters to each of us is our own perception, sure, I guess nothing is impossible. But try to jump of the roof and not fall, then tell me how that works for ya. Unless you use something to keep you up, the ground will become a lot closer than it seemed.

So I've decided that from here on out, I'm going to commit to what I'm doing (whatever it is). I've noticed that my choice in whether or not to commit to an endeavor almost always indicates it's outcome. If you think about it, usually, when we set our mind to something, it works out. Maybe not as we planned, but there are ALWAYS positive results. So that's probably the solution to my problems. If I actually go for something, instead of half-assing it, I may actually succeed once in awhile.

Getting started!

I'll be honest, I don't know how vigilant I'll be with this, but I'm thinking it may be a good way to unleash all my thoughts from "my little head" out on the world.
